Well, of course. If anything odd can happen in the world, Alaska's the place for it. A few weeks ago, the U.S. shot down an unidentified, unmanned flying object over Deadhorse, Alaska. Pretty much nothing but oil and muskox out there, but since they've given up searching for the ill-fated balloon, I'm guessing a polar bear is using it as a chew toy. Here's the article link, if you're interested in reading more about it. But it shouldn't surprise anyone. Everyone's vying for dibs on the Arctic. Plus, there's this photo, an actual image I took of a sign in Kodiak near the space launch on the island several months prior to the appearance of that UFO. Hmmmm.
